- The New Jersey Herald recently installed a weather station on the roof of their office on Spring Street in Newton. The station overlooks Spring Street and the Sussex County Historical Courthouse and will be used to monitor the various weather patterns of Newton. Some of the stations features include a camera and rain barometer.

Friends of Sussex-Wantage Library prepare for used book sale

- Volunteer's sort and place books on display tables in preparation for the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library used book sale Monday May 14,2012 in the library's community room. The sale starts on Friday May 18,2012 from 10-8 p.m and runs through Saturday May 19,2012 10-3 p.m. A $2 bag sale starts at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The sale helps raise funds for library programs and provides a way to recycle books and make them affordable for the whole community. Anyone interested in purchasing books is encouraged to bring their own recyclable bags to the sale in an effort to be environmentally friendly. Contact the Library with questions at 973-875-3940.
