- Through Sussex County's Mentoring Plus program, a Big Brothers Big Sisters-type program, provides local young people with positive adult role models. The program has around fifty adult mentors yet there are still approximately 65 kids and young adults who are waiting for mentors.

Making mummy cases @ SW library

- The Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library sponsored a program on making Egyptian mummy cases, life-sized paper replica of mummy case covers taught by Nancy "Apple Annie" Leary. They decorated their mummy cases with drawings, jewels and gold colorful markers. They learned to write their name in hieroglyphics, about the history of King Tut and the 3000 year-old process of making artistic mummy cases.
